The comedic duo is working with a real estate agent, Paul Italia, who is also a co-founder of a Manhattan comedy club, to turn the ship into an entertainment venue, NBC News reported.

“The Staten Island Ferry is definitely something iconic. We wanted to figure out a way to save it and do something special with it,” Italia told The Associated Press.

Both Jost and Davidson grew up on Staten Island and have made fun of the borough and its ferry system, the AP reported.

Jost, Davidson, and Italia now have 10 days to pick up the boat and tow it to a new dock. Italia told the AP the trio is still working out details on where it will go.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams tweeted after the sale, saying he loved the idea for the nightclub and volunteered his help.
