What Will Fans Get? – Soundcloud audio:
“I want fans to hear this album and be reminded of what I used to do and what I’m doing now. When I perform in concert it’s interesting to me because some of those old songs I had like “Austin” and “Ole Red” and “Some Beach,” they get as big of a reaction still today as “Boys ‘Round Here” and other current songs. It shows me that that’s still alive, that sound, that type of music is still alive. So fans who bought that older records, I think they’ll be happy when they get this one and hear some of that stuff. It’s almost like reaching back in time and making another record in that time, but making it sound like it’s up to date, too.
